SOLOMAN has just been awarded a new grant from the Learning and Skills Council – the Response to Redundancy Programme - to run a manufacturing specific redundancy programme at no cost to the employer or the employee. 

Our approach is simple; we visit the site to meet the staff one on one for an initial discussion on their skills and where they want to work next.

Then the work starts:

• Delivering tailor made CV workshops that GUARANTEE that the staff member gets a good quality typed CV which can be emailed. (So many of the workshops delivered by others end with a staff member holding a hand written set of notes that go nowhere).

• Ensuring all staff have a CV

• Calling suitable companies to find job vacancies

• Populating a job notice board at your site

• Emailing CV’s out to companies that want their skills and following that up with interviews

In the event a company has less than 10 staff being made redundant we will deliver the CV workshops and training at the local Jobcentre Plus Offices.

This service is free to staff who have been made redundant or who are under threat of redundancy.
