| THERE IS LIFE AFTER REDUNDANCY
Andrew was still a young man when he was medically discharged from the Welsh Guards after an injury left him with epilepsy.
He then had a succession of dead end jobs, and was still struggling to find fulfilment when he was made redundant from a manufacturing company in Croydon and contacted SOLOMAN.
Sylvie Ciacciarelli, our redundancy placement specialist, spent some time with Andrew establishing his skill sets. She found out that Andrew had experience in logistics and was keen to train on the job to climb the corporate ladder.
SOLOMAN found Andrew a position as a warehouseman for Beaver Architectural Ironmongery, a company specialising in the design and supply of architectural ironmongery.
Beaver could see Andrew's potential and gave him a chance, encouraging him to study for his NVQ's.
Andrew has completed NVQ 2 and Part One of NVQ 3 in the Guild of Architectural Ironmongery, and is already working towards Parts Two and Three.
He has had two promotions and is now working in the sales deparment, focusing on Access Controls.
He is on a career path at Beaver and once he has finished his exams he hopes to become an estimator and later a designer.
Andrew says "The last three and a half years have transformed my life. I now look forward to going to work each day. Thank you SOLOMAN."
