london innovation placement programme

Funded by the London Development Agency (LDA) and delivered through local partners, The London Innovation Placement Programme provides talented students, graduates and postgraduates to work on innovative projects in small and medium sized businesses, social enterprises and charities across London.

Placements range from 4-12 week full-time summer placements for students and postgraduates, through to "year out" opportunities for recent graduates looking for work experience, or for students and postgraduates still in full-time education and loking for a complementary year out.

Eligibility

To participate you must be an SME, social enterprise, local authority or third sector (not-for-profit) organisation located in London with an outstanding innovation project.

Costs, funding and support

If your placement lasts for up to 12 weeks, the cost to you will be £250 + VAT per week. This covers your student's training allowance and we will manage the administration for you.

Longer projects are subject to a standard set up fee of £1500 + VAT and you pay the student on an agreed salary directly. All projects receive full support, including student induction and mentoring where required.

And, if your project could benefit from further academic support you can also apply for a grant of up to £2,500 for this as part of the placement scheme.

Who do I contact to register for the scheme?

If this opportunity could be right for you then please visit the website www.londonplacements.co.uk for more information.
