SAFETY IMPROVED AT KIMPTON INDUSTRIAL ESTATE
Soloman are pleased to report that, working in conjunction with the Police and The Safer Neighbourhoods Team, safety improvements have been made on the Kimpton Industrial Estate in Sutton.
Following complaints from residents at the last Kimpton Liaison Meeting, the police carried out an exercise on the Estate from 24th March to 3rd April.
The operation used CCTV mobile cameras, unmarked police cars and foot patrols, and the area was also visited frequently at the times when previous incidents had occurred.
The results included the issuance of fixed penalty notices for noisy exhausts and loud music, three dangerous driving notices and the confiscation of two mini motos.
25 cars where parked in Tesco car park on one night of the operation. The police will write to Tesco and advise them of this – as it is considered a Health and Safety issue the police will be seeking authority to move vehicles on if it happens again.
The police have confirmed that traffic patrol cars will continue to visit the estate on an ongoing basis.
